a little bit about me
Iām Ariel
Writer, Linguist, Artist
I am currently a candidate for an MA Thesis in Applied Linguistics at Portland State University, where I am developing a family ethnography around language trauma and loss, forced migration, and the effects on intergenerational cultural identity.
I have a lifetime of experience working in communication, bringing understanding between people, and an ability to access the individual story.
Originally from San Francisco, I write extensively about growing up in my beloved city until it became too expensive to live there. I currently miss the California sunshine up in the Pacific Northwest where I live with my husband, my daughter and our animals.
